Du’a-e-‘Ashoura (to be read during the day of ‘Ashoura)
Hazrat Imâm Zaÿnul ‘Âbédîn [r.a.] (fils de Hazrat Imâm Husayn [r.a.]) a dit concernant ce du’â : Celui qui lit le “Du’â-é-‘Âshoûra” le 10ème jour de Muharram, à n’importe quel moment après le lever-du-soleil et avant le
coucher-du-soleil, ou qui écoute sa récitation de quelqu’un d’autre, Allâh-ta’âlâ assurera sa survie durant l’année, en éloignant la mort de lui. Cependant, si une personne devait être victime de la mort dans une année quelconque, ce sera par étrange coïncidence que cette personne n’aura pas lu (ou oublié de lire) le fameux du’â.
Hazrat Imam Zainul ‘Abideen [r.a.] (son of Hazrat Imam Hussein [r.a.]) reports that: Whoever recites this dua on the tenth of Muharram, any time after sunrise and before sunset, or listens to its recitation from someone else, Allah ta’ala will certainly make it an insurance for a years’ life for him, by keeping death away from him. However, if one is to become the victim of death in that year, they will by some strange coincidence of not remembering (of forgot) to recite it.

Yaa qaabila tawbati Aadama yawma ‘aashoûrâ
Yaa faarija karbi Zin-noûni yawma ‘aashoûrâ
Yaa jaami’a shamli Ya’qoûba yawma ‘aashoûrâ
Yaa saami’a da’wati Moûsaa wa Haaroûna yawma ‘aashoûrâ
Yaa mughiitha Ibraahiima minan-naari yawma ‘aashoûrâ
Yaa raafi’a Idriisa ilas-samaa-i yawma ‘aashoûrâ
Yaa mujiiba da’wati Swaalihi fin-naaqati yawma ‘aashoûrâ
Yaa naaswira sayyidinaa Muhammadinn swallallaahu ‘alaÿhi wa sallama yawma ‘aashoûrâ
Yaa rahmaan-ad-dunyaa wal aakhirati rahiimahuma swalli ‘alaa sayyidinaa Muhammadin-wa ‘alaa aali sayyidinaa Muhammadin-wa swalli ‘alaa jamii’il ambiyaa-i wal mursaliina waqdwi haajaatinaa fid-dunyaa wal aakhirati wa atwil ‘umranaa fii twaa’atika wa mahabbatika wa ridwaaka wa ahyinaa hayaatann twayyibatan-watawaffanaa ‘alal iimaani wal islaami birahmatika yaa arhamar-raahimiinn
Allaahumma bi’izzil Hasani wa akhiihi wa ummihi wa abiihi wa jaddihi wa baniihi *** farrij ‘annaa maa nahnu fiihi

Sub’haanallaahi mil.almiizaani wa muntahal ‘ilmi wa mab’laghar-ridwaa wa zinata ‘arshi laa maljaa-a walaa manjaa-a minallaahi illaa ilaÿhh
Sub’haanallaahi ‘adadash-shaf’i wal wit’ri wa ‘adada kalimaatillahit-taam’maati kullihaa nas-alukas-salaamata birahmatika yaa arhamar-raahimiinn
Wahuwa hasbunaa wa ni’mal wakiill, ni’mal mawlaa wa ni’man-naswiirr
Walaa hawla walaa quwwata illaa billaahil ‘aliyyil ‘azwiimm
Wa swallallaahu ta’aalaa ‘alaa sayyidinaa wa Muhammadin-wa ‘alaa aalihi wa swah’bihii wa’alal mu.miniina wal mu.minaati wal muslimiina wal muslimaati ‘adada zarratil wujoûdi wa ‘adada ma’loûmaatillaahi wal hamdu lillaahi rabbil ‘aalamiinn.

Au nom d’Allah, le Clément, le Miséricordieux
Ô Celui qui accepta le repentir d’Adam en ce jour de ‘Âshoûrah
Ô Celui qui délivra Jonas de sa peine en ce jour de ‘Âshoûrah
Ô Celui qui réunit Jacob (avec son fils) en ce jour de ‘Âshoûrah
Ô Celui qui entendit la supplication de Moïse et d’Aaron en ce jour de ‘Âshoûrah
Ô Celui qui sauva Abraham du feu en ce jour de ‘Âshoûrah
Ô Celui qui enleva Enoch au ciel en ce jour de ‘Âshoûrah
Ô Celui qui répondit à la supplication de Saleh avec la chamelle en ce jour de ‘Âshoûrah
Ô Celui qui aida notre chef Muhammad (salutation et paix soit sur lui) en ce jour de ‘Âshoûrah
Ô Clément en ce monde et l’au-delà Ô Miséricordieux des deux demeures
Envoie Tes faveurs sur notre chef Muhammad et sur la famille de notre chef Muhammad et sur tous les prophètes et messagers
Et accorde nous nos besoins en monde et dans l’au-delà, et accorde nous des années de vie dans Ton obédience, Ton amour et Ton plaisir
Et ramène nous à une vie de pureté et ne nous donne pas la mort sauf de foi en Toi et soumis à Ta grâce Ô Miséricordieux des Miséricordieux
Ô Allah, par l’honneur de Hasan, de son frère, de sa mère, de son père, de son grand-père (salutation et paix soit sur lui) et de ses enfants, << vous pouvez ici précisez les peines qui vous touchent >> Délivre nous de ce qui nous ont tombé dessus
Deuxième partie (lu en sept fois) :
Gloire à Allah, de par sa grandeur, de Sa science infinie, de Sa haute satisfaction, de quel que soit le poids de Son trône, il n’y a pas de refuge ni de sureté sauf ce qui émane de Lui
Gloire à Allah, autant qu’il y ait de nombres pairs et impairs et tant qu’il y aura de parfaits mots de Lui, qu’Il soit glorifié à ceux-là, nous Te demandons plénitude Ô Miséricordieux des Miséricordieux
C’est notre suffisance, notre meilleur Protecteur, meilleur Patron, meilleur Aide
Il n’y a pas de force ni de puissance excepté Allah le Haut, le Manifeste
Que les faveurs d’Allah le très haut soient sur notre Chef Muhammad, sur sa famille, ses compagnons, sur les croyants et croyantes, et musulmans (soumis) et musulmanes (soumises) au nombre des atomes qui existent et au nombre de choses connues d’Allah et louanges à Allah Seigneur des mondes.

In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
O You who accepted the repentance of Adam on this day of Ashura
O You who delivered Jonah from his burden on this day of Ashura
O You who reunited Jacob (with his son) on this day of Ashura
O You who heard the plea of Moses and Aaron on this day of Ashura
O You who rescued Abraham from the fire on this day of Ashura
O You who raised Idris to heaven on this day of Ashura
O You who answered the plea of Saleh with a she-camel on this day of Ashura
O You who helped our master Muhammad (the grace and peace of Allah be upon him) on this day of Ashura
O Merciful one in this lowly world and in the hereafter O Compassionate one of the two abodes
Bestow your grace upon our master Muhammad and upon the family of our master Muhammad, and upon all the prophets and all the messengers
And grant us our need in this life and in the hereafter, and grant us many years in Your obedience and Your love and Your pleasure!
And return us to a life of purity and take us not (in death) except upon faith and submission by Your mercy O You who is the most compassionate of all those who show compassion. O Allah! By the honour of Hasan and of his brother, and that of his mother and that of his father, and by the honour of his Grandfather (Peace be upon him) and that of his children
[Here you may describe to your lord the difficulties that you may be facing and need relief from] Relieve us of what has befallen us!
Second part (read seven times):
Glorious is Allah, as much as what is in His great scale, and as far as His knowledge extends, and to such a degree as it attains His pleasure, and to whatever weight may be His Throne, there is no refuge and no safety from Allah except in Him.
Glorious is Allah, (He is declared so) as many as there be even
(numbers) and as many as there be odd, and as many as there be perfect words of His, glory be to Him for them all.
We ask of You (our Lord) for safety, by Your mercy, O You who is the most merciful of all those who show mercy
And it (Your Mercy) is our sufficiency and our best protection, the very best master and the very best help!
And there is no power and no strength except in Allah, the High, the Great!
May the grace of Allah, the Exalted, be upon our master Muhammad and upon his family and his companions, and upon the believers men and women, and upon those who submit (in Islam), as much as there be atoms in existence and as much as there be things known to Allah, and all praise is due to Him, Lord of the Worlds.
